189 Molecular Interaction in PLLA/PVA/PLCA Blend System

Poly(L-lactide)(PLLA) and poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA) have been widely used as biomedical materials because of their good biocompatibility.However,clinical applications of PLLA have sometimes interfered with the high hydrophobic and lacking of reactive site.PVA is inexpensive compared with PLLA,and both hydrophilic and high flexible.Here the blends of PLLA/PVA/PLCA were prepared by solution casting.The copolymer of lactic acid and citric acid(PLCA) was added to improve the compatibility and hydrolysis rate of PLLA/PVA binary blends.The interactions between PLLA and PVA were investigated by FT-IR spectrum and the mechanical properties were also discussed.The results showed that compatibility of PLLA/PVA was improved and the mechanical strength was enhanced.

195 Flow Properties of Liquid-Solid Jet Loop Reactor

Flow properties were measured in the liquid-solid jet loop reactor.The liquid average velocity and the turbulent violence were measured through the modified Pito tube.The local solid hold-up was measured by using PV4A particle content equipment.It showed that the liquid average velocity,the turbulent violence and the solid hold-up increased with the increase of jet liquid flow rates. Inside the draft tube,the liquid average velocity indicated approximately the distribution of tube flow,while within the annular region,the liquid velocity distribution was uniform.The radical distribution of the solid hold-up was uniform within both the draft tube and the annular region.This flow property is fundamental to the scale-up design and optimization of jet loop reactors.

199 Preparation of Ti-Pillared Montmorillonite to Remove Arsenic Under UV Irradiation

An adsorbent Ti-pillared montmorillonite(Ti-PILC) with high efficiency to remove arsenic in water was prepared.The effect on removing arsenic under ultraviolet light irradiation has been analyzed and suitable conditions of preparation have been found.The results indicate that Ti-PILC which was disposed at certain temperature and pressure for hours can better remove arsenic in water than the others,and the aluminum in the interval of Na-montmorillonite(Na-MMT) has been replaced by titanium effectively,during which anatase-TiO_2 is completely built and the structure of Ti-pillared is formed.

203 Gas-Liquid Interphase Mass Transfer Theory of Absorption Processes

The present paper aims at the understanding on the gas-liquid mass transfer mechanism of absorption process.On the basis of molecule thermodynamics,combining the general chemical potential driving force equation of mass transfer flux,a concentration corrrelation at interface between two phases is derived and solved under different bulk liquid concentrations in absorption process.The computational results show that the interfacial concentration of absorbed component on liquid side is strongly affected by a Biot number Yo and is also bulk concentration dependent.For the absorption process in which the gas phase resistance to mass transfer between two phases is neglectable,the mass transfer rate is mainly dominated by liquid bulk concentration and thickness of liquid film.The CO_2 interfacial concentration on liquid side in stationary absorption by pure methanol,ethanol and n-propanol absorbent respectively are measured using micro laser holographic interference technique to validate the model proposed,the experimental values are in good agreement with the calculated ones.

207 Cathodic Electrophoretic Coating of Epoxy Resin

As an environment-protecting water-borne coating,the cathodic electrophoretic coating has wide application prospects.The cathodic electrophoretic coating of epoxy resin was prepared with half blocked isocyanate as curing agent.Reaction condition of the synthesis of resin was investigated,and properties of the obtained electrophoretic coating were tested.The results show that the coating film with flat,smooth and excellent performance can be obtained under the condition of appropriate electrophoretic parameters.

211 Construction of Chromatographic Fingerprint of Saponins in Panax Notoginseng Leaves

At present,the construction of chromatographic fingerprints plays a significant role in the quality control of traditional medicines.In this paper,high performance liquid chromatography-ultraviolet absorption detector(HPLC-UV) profiles of saponins in panax notoginseng leaves were established.The analysis was carried out on a reversed-phase column(150 mm×4.6 mm,I.D.C_(18),5 μm,) from Agilent maintained at 40 ℃.Separation was performed by elution using acetonitrile and water at a volume ratio of 32∶68.The flow rate was 0.7 mL/min.The detection wavelength was set at 203 nm.Under the above condition,peaks were well separated.To develop the representative fingerprint of saponins in panax notoginseng leaves,10 batches of samples were analyzed under the same HPLC conditions.The results showed that 10 batches of saponins in panax notoginseng leaves have 14 common peaks as their fingerprint.Besides,these common peaks were all characterized by using HPLC-MS technique and comparison with the reference standards.The fingerprint established will help to control the quality of saponins in panax notoginseng leaves.

215 Quantitative Determination of Borneol in Qiangxin Dripping Pills by Capillary Gas Chromatography

The contents of borneol in Qiangxin dripping pills were determined by capillary gas chromatography with an HP-5 capillary column(30 m×0.32 mm×0.25 μm).The temperatures of column,injector and FID detector were 70 ℃,250 ℃ and 250 ℃ respectively.Nitrogen gas was applied as carrier gas.The volume of injection was 2 μL.Menthol was added as an internal standard,and the peak area of borneol was calculated by adding areas of bornyl alcohol and isoborneol.Excellent linear correlation of borneol was established with range of 0.06—2.40 mg/mL,and r was(0.999 99).The average recovery of this method was 100.26%,and the relative standard deviation(RSD)was 0.78%.The method was sensitive,reliable and was able to be applied in quantitative determination of borneol-containing substances.

218 Effects of Magnetic Field on Extraction of Acetone-Water-Methyl Isobutyl Ketone System

In order to investigate the effects of magnetic field on the liquid-liquid extraction,the extraction process of acetone-water-methyl isobutyl ketone system was studied under magnetic field with different magnetic induction intensities.The results show that the positive effect of magnetic field exists in the extraction process and that partition coefficient k_A and yield of acetone _A increase with the increments of magnetic induction intensities.The quantitative account shows that the partition coefficient of acetone k_A is increased by 5.29%—8.31% and the yield of acetone _A is increased by 1.76%—3.41% under the influence of magnetic field with magnetic induction intensity of 0.17—0.52 T.Some effects of temperature on extraction process were seen in the experiments.The effects of magnetic field on the extraction were intensified when temperature increased.The experimental data were correlated by the method of regression analysis and the correlations equation of partition coefficient of acetone k_A were obtained.

222 Molecular Dynamics Simulation of Phenol Solutions at High Temperatures and High Pressure

Supercritical water oxidation(SCWO) is a new technique for waste treatment.Some toxic organic materials can be oxidized rapidly into H_2O,CO_2,N_2 and other nontoxic inorganic materials.Phenol is a typical material oxidized by SCWO.The experimental data about phenol in supercritical water are difficult to be obtained.Microstructures of phenol solutions with air under supercritical and near critical conition(T=503.2—683.2 K,p=23 MPa) have been investigated by molecular dynamics simulation.The results show that the change of temperature has great effect on the radial distribution function of C_6H_5OH-H_2O;the number of water molecules clustering around the phenol molecule increases with temperature and begins to fluctuate when the temperature reaches 600 K;the interactional force is strong between the water molecules and the phenol molecule.The simulation results can provide valuable information to guide the practical operation,and these are valuable information for further establishment of molecular thermodynamic models.

226 Zeolite Catalysts for Removal of Trace Olefins in Aromatics

In this study,zeolite catalysts,in which HY zeolite was used as active component and alumina gel,silica-alumina gel and titania-alumina gel as binders,were prepared for removal of trace olefin in aromatics.The effect of binders and calcination temperature on their performance and catalyst deactivation and regeneration were investigated by means of NH_3-TPD,BET and TGA.The results indicated that the catalytic activity of zeolite catalysts with any binder was superior to that of a commercial particulate clay,i.e.NC-01,which was due to more weak acidic sites on zeolite catalysts than NC-01.Carbon deposition was the main reason for zeolite catalyst deactivation,and calcinations was an effective method for catalyst regeneration,and the regenerated catalyst still showed good performance.Among the catalysts concerned,the one containing 20%(wt) silica-alumina gel and calcinated at 823 K showed better catalytic performance.

231 Distributions of Solid Velocity and Solid Holdup in Liquid-Solid Fluidized Bed

Flow behaviors of KDF filter media(solid) in liquid-solid fluidized bed are studied with PV4A velocity meter and CFD numerical stimulation and flow field distribution of the KDF filter media are obtained.Experimental results show that filter media velocity and solid holdup increases at the beginning and then decreases with the increase of axial position.KDF filter media velocity and solid holdup have a tendency of falling from center to the wall of fluidized bed in different radial position.The simulation results show that the axial and radial distribution tendency of solid velocity and solid holdup in modeling process are consistent with those of experimented results.

236 Thermochemical Demulsification of High Water-Content Crude Oil

In consideration of thermochemical method in demulsification of high water-content crude oil,the influences of temperature and quantity of demulsifier on the demulsification efficiency and demulsification velocity were investigated.It is shown that for a fixed amount of crude oil,there is an optimum quantity of demulsifier and it is affected by temperature.The optimal quantity of the demulsifier for crude oil decreases with the increase of temperature.The quantity of demulsifiers can also affect the dehydration velocity of the emulsion.

240 Performance of Semi-IPN Hydrogels from Polyacrylamide Grafted Chitosan

Graft copolymerization of acrylamide(AAm) onto chitosan(CS) was carried out by using potassium persulfate(KPS) as a free radical initiator.And methylenebisacrylamide(MBA) or formaldehyde was used as a crosslinker.The effect of reaction variables,such as crosslinker concentration and CS/AAm ratio on the water absorbency capacity were investigated.The hydrogels exhibited reversible ion strength-,pH-and temperature-responsive characteristics.The reversibility and on-off switching properties of the hydrogels make the intelligent polymers as good candidates for potential carriers for bioactive agents,e.g.drugs.

245 Kinetics and Mechanism of the Sorption of NTS Macroporous Adsorption Resin

The kinetics of the sorption of NTS onto H1020 macroporous adsorption resin in aqueous solution was investigated in batch experiments at 298 K.The experiments showed that low pH was benefit to sorption and the pseudo second-order equation could describe the sorption process well.Film diffusion was the key step in this adsoption system.The diffusion coefficient(D) was calculated by using Fick's equation from the first portions of the sorption/desorption curves D=0.64×10~(-9) cm~2/s.

249 Separation and Identification of Biosurfactant in the Antibiotic Broth

A new kind of biosurfactant is acquired through ultrafiltrating,concentrating,and the freeze-drying the surface-active component in the penicillin broth.At the same time the emulsification problem is solved.The ultrafiltration membrane of 10 ku cut-off molecular weight could separate the surfactant from the broth efficiently,and thereby eliminate the emulsification in extraction process.This biosurfactant's concentration in the antibiotic broth is 2.659 g/L.

254 Alkylation of p-Cresol with Isobutylene Over Modified β Zeolite

The physical chemistry properties of catalysts were characterized by ICP,XRD and NH_3-TPD,alkylation of p-cresol with isobutylene over β zeolite modified by Mn and Ce was carried out and the catalytic activity of the zeolite was investigated.And the influences of reaction temperature,molar ratio of isobutylene/p-cresol and WHSV were analyzed.The result indicated that the catalytic activity of the β zeolite modified by Mn and the selectivity of 2-tert-butyl-4-methy-phenol are improved,the optimized condition are reaction temperature of 125 ℃,molar ratio of isobutylene/p-cresol of 3,WHSV of 2 h~(-1).β zeolite modified by Mn is a promising catalyst for alkylation of p-cresol with isobutylene.

258 Preparation of Oxidized Starch Using Abandoned Liquid Propellant of HNO_3-27S

Oxidized starch,as a green corrosion inhibitor,was produced by abandoned liquid propellant of HNO_3-27S and starch.The basic analysis method of chemistry with modern instrument was used to distinguish the organic functions regiment of polyglucosans and polycarboxylic.Orthogonal experiment was chosen to discuss the effect in the production and the optimum reaction condition was obtained.The corrosion inhibition rate of the product was determined by the comprison between static and dynamic experiment on corrosion inhibition.The results show the product has high content of carboxylic group,good corrosion inhibition effect and high corrosion inhibition rate.

262 Atmospheric Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium of Acetone-Isopropenyl Acetate Binary System

The atmospheric vapor-liquid equilibrium(VLE) data of acetone-isopropenyl acetate binary system were measured by using the improved Ellis equilibrium distiller.Thermodynamic calculation of the experimental data were carried out by using ideal equation for gas phase and using NRTL and Wilson equation for liquid phase.The parameters of NRTL and Wilson model for this binary system were regressed by nonlinear least square method,and the calculated data from Wilson model accorded well with the experimental data.The VLE data were tested by Herrington method and showed satisfying thermodynamic consistency.
