Abstract Flow behaviors of KDF filter media(solid) in liquid-solid fluidized bed are studied with PV4A velocity meter and CFD numerical stimulation and flow field distribution of the KDF filter media are obtained.Experimental results show that filter media velocity and solid holdup increases at the beginning and then decreases with the increase of axial position.KDF filter media velocity and solid holdup have a tendency of falling from center to the wall of fluidized bed in different radial position.The simulation results show that the axial and radial distribution tendency of solid velocity and solid holdup in modeling process are consistent with those of experimented results.
