Abstract Using the honeycomb waste selective catalytic reduction (SCR) denitration catalyst as raw material, a series of regenerated titanium tungsten powder products were prepared under normal temperature. The best reaction condition was screened according to the contents of impurities such as silicon, aluminum, arsenic, sodium, potassium and calcium, and the specific surface areas. The optimum reaction conditions are that the concentration of hydrofluoric acid is 2% and the reaction time is 3 h. A new denitration catalyst prepared from the regenerated titanium tungsten power had a higher denitration rate than that that of industrial titanium tungsten powder. The X-ray fluorescence (XRF), nitrogen adsorption BET (N2-BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscope (TEM) were used to characterize the elemental content, surface properties, crystal structure and microscopic appearance. It is found that the catalyst prepared from the regenerated titanium tungsten powder has similar chemical composition, specific surface area, crystal structure and microstructure with that prepared from the industrial titanium tungsten powder, and still retains a part of the active V2O5. In addition, the regenerated titanium tungsten powder shows good catalytic stability and industrial prospects.
