Effect of Scale Inhibitor-Dispersant on the Crystallization of Potassium(Sodium)Fluosilicate
YANG Lin-jun 1,ZHANG Yun-xiang 1,HUANG Yin-hua 2
The effects of 3 types of effective scale inhibitor-dispersant on the crystallization of Na 2SiF 6 and K 2SiF 6 from phosphoric acid solution are studied in a continuous MSMPR crystallizer. The results indicate that the selected scale inhibitor-dispersant can reduce the crystal growth rate and average size. At the same time can increase the population density of nuclei and nucleation rate of potassium(sodium)fluosilicate. Moreover, the crystal habit are highly modified:Na 2SiF 6 forms grain-shaped and other irregular crystals instead of hexagonal crystals, and K 2SiF 6 forms grain-shaped and small cubic crystals instead of cluster aggregated by cubic crystals.

The ingredients of the recipe include glucose 1%, soya peptone 1.5%, beef extract 0.2%, yeast extract 0.2%,tryptone 0.5%,NaCl 0.5, K 2HPO 4 0.35% and KH 2PO 4 0.15%. The suitable culture conditions are 160r/min of rotate speed, 20% of filling capacity and 2% of inoculum volume.

Study on Properties of the New Type Coagulant Polymeric Ferric Silicate——Sulfate Containing Boron
LIU Xiao-jun 1,TIAN Yi-ling 2,MA Xiao-ou 3,KANG Si-qi 3,YU Zun-hong 1
A new type of coagulant polymeric ferric silicate-sulfate containing boron(PFSSB)is prepared in this paper. Effects of B, Fe contents on this coagulant properties are investigated. The coagulating characteristics and mechanism are also discussed. The results show that under the preparation conditions of n (B)/ n (Si)(molar ratio)=0.16, n (Fe)/ n (Si)(molar ratio)=0.50,PFSSB has optimal coagulating properties and stability. In comparison with PFS, PFSS, PFSSB is superior in suitable pH range, sedimentation and suitability. It proves to be a kind of excellent and useful coagulant. These excellent properties result from the attributions of iron ion, polysilicic acid, B and SO 2- 4 together.

Purification of E-44 Epoxy Resin Solution
YU Wen-dong,DUAN Wu-hua,ZHANG Cheng-qun,ZHOU Xiu-zhu,ZHOU Jia-zhen
Both the density and the viscosity of E-44 epoxy resin solution are measured at different temperature. The effect of the volume ratio of E-44 epoxy resin to benzene on phase entrainment is investigated with φ 50mm centrifugal extraactor. The relation between operating factors(rotor speed the flow rate and the flow ratio)and the purifying effect is studied with φ 50mm centrifugal extractor too.The plant test is carried out with φ 230mm centrifugal extrator. When benzene was added into E-44 epoxy resin, the content of chlorine in the E-44 epoxy resin is less than 5mg/L after purification.Without adding bezene, the content of chlorine in the E-44 epoxy resin is less than 100mg/L after purification.

Study on Modification of Hydrophobic Polysulfone Membrane
SONG Yan-qiu, YUAN Xu-bo, SHENG Jing
The general method modifying hydrophobic polysulfone to produce highly hydrophilic surfaces was developed. This method is the blend technique. We used scanning electronic microscopy to examine the phase behavior of A-B diblock copolymer of poly(ortho esters)-b-poly(ethylene glycol). Because PEG has high surface energies in copolymer, PSF membranes were modified and improved the surface hydrophilicity and hemocompatibility.

MA You-guang,LIANG Jun-ai,HE Ming-xia,YU Guo-cong
Liquid diffusivities are the important paramenters in the study of mass transfer in gas-liquid,liquid-liquid and solid-liquid systems.Due to the imperfection of the theoretical prediction and empirical evaluation, the experimental methods have been paid considerable attention by the researchers in this field.Laser holographic interferometry is a new method in the modern optical measurement. This article introduces the application and progresses of holographic interferometry to the measurement of liquid diffusivities.

Estimation of the Rates for Freeze-Drying with Heat Radiation
CHENG Jiang,TU Wei-ping,YANG Zhou-ru,CHEN Huan-qin
A simplification for Sheng and Peck's freeze-drying model with heat radiation has been made in this paper.Linear distribution of temperature within the dried layer during sublimation is assumed instead of the error function profile proposed by Sheng and Peck. Therefore,an explicit expression for predicting the time required to remove the free water and the bound water in products during a freeze-drying process has been developed. The model suggests that sublimation and desorption may take place simultaneously in the sublimation stage.Good agreement has been found by comparing with Sheng and Peck's prediction data for freeze-drying of beef and poultry meat. The method is suitable for engineering application because of its simplicity.
