1 Preparation of Methyl Acetate by Slurry Catalytic Distillation Process

In this paper,a new catalytic distillation process is studied on the production of methyl acetate from methanol and glacial acetic acid.The experiments were carried out in a glass column with an inner diameter of 76 mm.In the column,the rectifying section is filled with θ rings and the reactive section is composed of sieve plates to ensure high liquid holdups.The catalyst is fine particles of about 4 μm in diameter and forms slurry with glacial acetic acid.The effects of catalyst concentration,feed composition,total feed and reflux ratio on the conversion ratio are experimentally studied.The experimental results show that the conversion and the purity of methyl acetate in the distillate can reach 86.4% and 92.95%,respectively.

6 Biodesulfurization of Fuel Oils

An organism,identified as Rhodococcus sp.EBT-2,was isolated from the slurry in Dagang Oil Field of Tianjin,China.Analysis of HPLC revealed that EBT-2 could desulfurize DBT to 2-hydroxybiphenyl(2-HBP) selectively.Furthermore,the effects of temperature,initial pH,carbon source and nitrate source on the growth and capacity of removal DBT were investigated.Results showed that the suitable inital pH is 7.5,temperature is 30 ℃,the best carbon source and nitrate source are glucose and ammonium chloride.Under optimum operating conditions,DBT of 0.25 mmol/L was degraded to 0.03 mmol/L by growing cells of EBT-2 within 48 h,simultaneously producing 2-HBP of 0.19 mmol/L.

10 Electrolytic Treating of the Plating Wastewater

In this article,the plating wastewater containing heavy metal ions was electrolyzed in a novel organic glass reactor which was first designed by the author.On the basis of the experiment,the importance of slecting electrode material was discussed.And the influencing factors,such as pH,the space between eletrodes,electrode coupled manner,on removal rate were studied.The optimum conditions of the experiment have been determined.

14 Synthesis and Thermodynamic Stability of Metal Complexes of 2-Mercaptopyridine

In this paper,2-mercaptopridine based Pb(Ⅱ),Co(Ⅱ),Mn(Ⅱ),Zn(Ⅱ),Cd(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ),Ni(Ⅱ) complexes are synthesized.The complexes are characterized by titration analysis,conductance measurement,UR and IR.The analysis shows that with different metal ions,the ratio of metal to ligand is different.The thermodynamic stability are obtained from the analysis of the TG/DTA,and their sequence are Pb(Ⅱ) complexes>Zn(Ⅱ)complexes>Cd(Ⅱ)complexes>Ni(Ⅱ)complexes>Co(Ⅱ)complexes>Mn(Ⅱ)complexes>Cu(Ⅱ)complexes.

18 Synthesis and Application of NaY Zeolite from Coal-Bearing Kaolin

NaY zeolites with nanosize and normal size were successfully synthesized through different ways.The X-ray diffraction and TEM results indicated that the crystal zeolite product had an average size under 100 nm.Fluid catalytic cracking(FCC) catalysts was prepared respectively from the two zeolites.FCC test results showed that compared with catalyst containing conventionally hydrothermal synthesized NaY zeolite,catalyst containing nanosized zeolite exhibited good big molecule cracking performance and excellent selectivity.

21 Epoxidation of Methylallyl Chloride with Hydrogen Peroxide Catalyzed by TS-1

Epoxidation of methylallyl chloride(MAC)with 30%(wt)dilute H_2O_2 solution as oxidant over TS-1 is investigated in this paper.Effects of many factors such as solvent and its dosage,temperature,the mole ratio of the reactants(MAC∶H_2O_2),and TS-1 concentration on epoxidation are considered.The results showed that methanol is the proper solvent and the appropriate volume is 80 mL.With the increase of TS-1 concentration and the temperature,the conversion,the yield and H_2O_2 utilization are improved,while the selectivity decreased.If the conversion and H_2O_2 utilization are considered,it is best for epoxidation when the mole ratio of the reactants is 1∶1 under conditions of the experiment.

25 Clean Synthesis of 1,6-Dicarbamate Hexane

The clean synthesis of 1,6-dicarbamate hexane(HDC) from dimethyl carbonate(DMC) and 1,6-diamine hexane(HDA) is studied.The preparation of HDC using different catalysts is studied,and the activity of MgO/ZrO_2 is regarded better.After characterization of the catalyst,the activity of MgO in disperse phase is inferred higher than that of MgO in crystal phase.The quantitative analysis of HDC is carried out by HPLC analysis and the influence of different reaction conditions has been investigated.

29 Synthesis of 4-[2-(benzoyloxy)ethyl]-3-chloro-1,3-dihydro-2H-indolin-2-one,an Intermidiate of Ropinirole

Isochroman was synthesized from phenyl ethanol by inner molecular Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction.The intermidiate of Ropinirole 4-[2-(benzoyloxy)ethyl]-3-chloro-1,3-dihydro-2H-indolin-2-one was prepared from isochroman by ring opening,salt formation,hydrolysis,nitrostyrene formation and Royer reaction.The target product was confirmed by the analysis of TLC,()~(1)H-NMR,IR.The total yield is 31.51%.

33 Synthesis and Catalytic Activity of Bi-MCM-41 Molecular Sieves with Different Silica Source

Bi-MCM-41 with different silica source were synthesized by hydrothermal method with(Na_2SiO_3·9H_2O),TEOS and colloidal silica as silica source,cetyltrimethylammonium bromide as template,(Bi(NO_3)_3·5H_2O) as metal source,and oxidation of styrene with hydrogen peroxide to benzaldehyde was investigated.The nature of the catalysts was discussed based on the characterization results of XRD and UV-Vis.It was indicated that the samples with(Na_2SiO_3·9H_2O) and TEOS as silica soucre had high ordering structures and Bismuth was highly dispersed in the mesostructure frameworks.Bi-MCM-41 was found to have good catalytivity in the oxidation of styrene to benzaldehyde with hydrogen peroxide as oxidant and methanol as solvent.The influence of different silica source on the oxidation activity of Bi-MCM-41 had also been discussed.

37 Purification and Purity Determination of Antioxidant BHT

In order to improve the purity of industrial product,Antioxidant BHT was purified by the methods of recrystalize and zone melting.The purity was determined by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).The purity tested by HPLC is 99.09% with relative standard deviation(RSD) of 0.08%,tested from the way of standard curve.The purity tested by DSC is 99.16% with RSD of 0.14%.This purified antioxidant BHT reaches the same level of international product.

41 Preparation of Metal Oxide Composite Conductive Powder

Composite conductive powder was prepared by the chemical coprecipitation of SnO_2 and Sb_2O_3 on TiO_2 powder.The effects on the characterization of the conductive powder were studied in preparing process.The result showed that the powder's volumetric electric resistivity is 76.14 Ω·cm and the size of conductive powder ≤1.5 μm,when the molar ratio of TiO_2,SnCl_4 and SbCl_3 is 54.0∶7.5∶1.0,pH value of hydrolysis solution is 1.5,hydrolysis temperature is 50.0 ℃ and calcinations temperature is 700.0 ℃.

45 Preparation and Characterization of Nanometer Magnetite

In this work,nanometer magnetite(Fe_3O_4) particles were prepared by chemical co-precipitation,NH_3·H_2O was chosen as precipitating agent,and was added to the mixed aqueous solution containing ferric and ferrous ions to produce nanometer Fe_3O_4 particles.Some influence factors on the size and characteristic of the product were investigated,and preliminary characterization was also performed.

49 Characterization of Physicochemical Properties of Deactivated Particulate Clay Used in Aromatic Hydrocarbon Refining and Its Regeneration

Particulate clay is commonly applied in the refining of aromatic hydrocarbon,and it will deactivate after a period of use.In this study,deactivated particulate clay was characterized by means of BET,TG,TPO,UV-Vis,XRD,and NH_3-TPD,and the mechanisms of deactivation were analysed.Because it was of acidic,the particulate clay catalysed olefins to polymerize each other or alkylate with aromatic hydrocarbon,and larger molecules formed.When these larger molecules were not removed by aromatic hydrocarbon fluid,they would overlay the surface of particle clay,and occupy the pores of particle clay.Thus,the number of acidic sites as Well as the specific surface of particle clay decreased,and the particulate clay deactivated gradually.Owing to lower reaction temperature in the aromatic hydrocarbon refining,the phase of particulate clay did not change after deactivation,and so the phase had no relation with the deactivation of particulate clay.By the oxidation with air under the proper temperature,the deactivated particle clay restored its specific surface area,pore volume,and activity to a great extent.

52 Large Eddy Simulation of Gas-Liquid Flow in a Partially Aerated Bubble Column Reactor

The large eddy simulations(LES) with the Euler-Euler approach is used to study the gas-liquid flow in a partially aerated bubble column.The LES results shows that the bubble swarm motion and gas hold-up distribution agree well with the experiment results.And the process of gas-liquid turbulence transient structures formation and evolvement has been captured through the simulation.Effects of different parameters on the vortex structures are as follows:increasing the gas velocity intensifies the change of the vortex structures,increasing the liquid viscosity inhibits the development of the vortex scale,decreasing the column aspect ratio reduces the quantity of the vortexes.

70 Advances in Catalysts of Aldol Condensation

Aldol condensation is an important organic reaction which leads to the formation of new C-C bond.The desired yield can not been easily achieved because this reaction is always accompanied by a series of side reactions.It's predominant to select a proper catalyst in order to industrialize this reaction.In this paper,three kinds of catalysts are introduced and discussed according to the acid or base active site.The prospect of the catalysts for aldol condensation is also been put forward.

In this paper,various synthesizing method,medical mechanism,productive situation at home and abroad of amlodipine are reviewed.The key step in the synthesis of amlodipine,cyclization of the 1,4-dihydropyridine by Michael addition reaction and Hantzsch reaction in which different amine protective groups were used,are illustrated in details.By comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the two different processes,the feasibilities of industrial application is discussed.

93 Synthesis of Diisopropyl Succinate Catalyzed by p-Methyl Benzenesulfonic Acid

Diisopropyl succinate was synthesized from succinic acid and isopropanol with p-methyl benzenesulfonic acid as catalyst.The effects of reaction time,feeds mole ratio,and the amount of catalyst used in the esterification on the yield were discussed.The optimum reaction conditions were determined,and the yield under these conditions reaches 96.5%.
