Abstract The effect of K and Zr on the performance of MoS_2/C catalyst for the synthesis of ethyl acetate from the dehydrogenation of ethanol were study by XRD,XPS and catalyst activity measurement.The results show that the addition of K restrained the dehydration of ethanol to produce the ethylene and increased the united selectivity;Zr increased the conversion of ethanol;the simultaneous addition of K and Zr increased both of conversion of ethanol and united selectivity;the addition of Zr and K-Zr considerably influence the valence of Mo in the catalyst.
