471 Preparation of High Purity Sucrose Octaacetate by Recrystallization

In this paper,high purity sucrose octaacetate(SOA) was prepared by recrystallization.The parameters of recrystallization including the solvents,times and speed of crystallization which affected the purity and crystal morphology of SOA were also discussed.Gas chromatograph-mass spectrometer(GC-MS),scanning electron microscope(SEM) and X-ray diffraction microscope were performed to characterize SOA,and the results demonstrated that the purity was more than 99.7% which satisfied the desired requirements.

475 Preparation and Characterization of Magnesium Borate(Mg_2B_2O_5) Whisker

Magnesium borate(Mg_2B_2O_5) whisker was successfully synthesized via high temperature flux method using magnesium chloride,boric acid,sodium hydroxide and sodium chloride as raw materials.The prepared product was characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).The results showed that the prepared sample had triclinic structure and consisted of whisker-like particles with the proportion of length to diameter beyond 10.XPS results confirmed the molar ratio of each atom agreed with the stoichiometric composition of Mg_2B_2O_5.Finally,the growth mechanism was briefly discussed.

479 Preparation of Sorbent of Phosphor with Modificatory Steel Slag

Because of insufficient usage of mineral waste residue,the preparation of sorbent of phosphor with slag was brought forward to treat wastewater.The experimental results indicated the suitable preparation conditions were:caly,water and slag were mixed together with mass ratio of 1.0∶1.0∶1.0,and(FeSO_4[m(FeSO_4)/)m(clay,water and slag)=0.07] was added, baked 5 miutes at 500 ℃.It was used to treat the wastewater with mass concentration of 50 mg/L,the addition of this sorent was 0.8 g/L,vibration time was 1.5 h and at pH 7—8,the removal rate of phosphor were about 95%.

482 Separation of Acetonitrile-Water Mixture by Batch Extractive Distillation

Ethylene glycol was selected as solvent for separating mixture of acetonitrilewater.Vapor-liquid equilibrium of acetonitrile-ethylene glycol binary system was measured under 0.101 MPa.Experimental data were correlated by Wilson equation,and obtained the parameters for Wilson model,α_(1,3)=(1 359.7),α_(3,1)=137.9,maximum deviation of correlation result to experimental data is(0.015 7).Vapor-liquid equilibrium of acetonitrile-water with ethylene glycol was measured.The results show that the azeotropic point of acetonitrile-water can be eliminated by ethylene glycol.Separation of acetonitrile-water mixture was carried out by batch extractive distillation,under conditions of reflux ratio 2∶1,solvent ratio 4.1∶1,mole fraction of acetonitrile in overhead can reach 0.998 and the recovery of acetonitrile is 75%.The effects of reflux ratio and solvent ratio on the purity of product and the amount of product in overhead were also investigated for batch extractive distillation by Chemcad and obtained that suitable solvent ratio was 3∶1,reflux ratio ranged from 0.5—2.0.

487 Rapid Growth of ZnO Under High Pressure and Its Raman Spectrum

The phenomenon of the rapid growth of ZnO single crystal was analysed by using the basic theory of ceramic sintering and the characteristics of high-pressure sintering.At the same time,the obtained ZnO single crystal was studied by combining with Raman spectrum.The results showed the growth rate of ZnO was greatly increased by high-pressure sintering process,it was nearly 960 times to that under the atmospheric pressure at(900 ℃.) The reason of which was probably caused by the great increase of zinc ion concentration in the gap under the high pressure.Analysed by Raman spectrum,the quality of crystal which was obtained under high pressure was improved with increasing temperature.

493 Double Objective Optimal Extraction Process of Total Flavonoids in Sanguisorba officinalis L.

To optimize extraction process of total flavonoids in Sanguisorba officinalis L.,the contents of total flavonoids and antibiotic action were considered,and the influences of extraction process on the antibacterial property of total flavonoids were tested.The optimum extracting procedure for total flavonoids were obtained: 20 g the drug and 150 mL 70% alcohol refluxing 2 hours each time for 3 times,the average extracting rate of the total flavonoids was about 10.25%.The optimized process was stable and workable.

497 Catalyst System for Potassium Ferrate Oxidizing Alcohols

Potassium ferrate,a new green oxidant,has powerful oxidization and high selectivity,but it is difficult to solve in organic solvent in the oxidation.So the oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone by potassium ferrate was studied,the catalyst system of ultrastable zeolite,phosphoric acid and potassium ferrate could accelerate oxidation cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone and showed good oxidation ability in the organic solvent.

500 Application of Supported WO_3 Attapulgite Catalyst in Epoxidation of Cyclopentene

A supported WO_3 attapulgite catalyst(WO_3/AT)was prepared using impregnation method with attapulgite clay(AT) as catalyst supporter and ammonium tungstate as tungsten precursor,and its structure was characterized by FT-IR and XRD.And then using 30%(mass percent) H_2O_2 as oxygen resource and tert-butyl alcohol(TBA) as solvent,its catalytic activity was researched in the epoxidation reaction of cyclopentene(CPE).The experimental results showed that WO_3 was homogeneously dispersed on the surface of attapulgite.Under the conditions of(30% (mass percent) H_2O_2)/(CPE)=2.2 and V(TBA)/V(CPE)=10,the suitable technological conditions for the reaction: reaction temperature was 308 K, reaction time was 24 h,catalyst was 0.3 g/mL(CPE),the loading content of WO_3 was 40.0%(mass percent),the calcination temperature and time of the catalyst was 823 K and 2 h respectively.Under these conditions,the yield of 1,2-epoxycyclopentane(CPO) was 40.2%,the conversion of CPE was 92.1%.The catalyst exhibited a good catalytic activity in the epoxidation reaction of CPE.

506 Synthesis of 2,6-Dibenzalcyclohexanone with Aminosulfonic Acid as Catalyst

Catalyzed by aminosulfonic acid which was by oleum and carbamide,benzaldehyde and cyclohexanone were reacted to produce 2,6-dibenzalcyclohexanone, the product was characterized by spectra in detail.The orthogonal test was employed to explore the optimal reaction process conditions,and the validation was conducted according to the derived process conditions.

511 Oil Sand Separation with Power Ultrasound

With oil sand cleaning agent by self-made,separation on Inner Mongolia Zha Lai Te Qi oil under ultrasonic was performed.The effects of ultrasonic frequency,ultrasonic intensity,cleaning time,cleaning temperature on oil sand separating were investigated.Under ultrasonic cavitations,at ultrasonic frequency of 28 kHz,ultrasonic intensity of 7.06 W/cm~2,the ratio of cleaning agent to oil sand 0.8∶1,system temperature 60 ℃,cleaning time 13.0 min,the oil extraction rate achieved 94%.The result of the research proved that the oil extraction rate was improved greatly under the ultrasonic wave action.

514 Removing Vanadium and Nickel from Residue Oil

This experiment took the vacuum residue oil with the Liaohe and Venezuela oil mixture as raw oil,using esterifiable reagent for the removing of the vanadium and nickel.The optimal operating conditions were determined by using a single-factor method.The results shows that the effect of removing vanadium is better than that of nickel.The optimal condition is: reaction temperature is 170 ℃,reagent amount is 3.0%,reaction time is 20 min and settlement time is 30 min,the removal rates of vanadium and nickel are 71.56% and 35.14% respectively.

517 Oxidative Desulfurization of Diesel Fuel with Power Ultrasound

The sulfides(mainly benzothiophenes) in FCC diesel fuel has been oxidized to sulfones with H_2O_2-formic acid as oxidant by using power ultrasound.The effects of time and ratio of oil to oxidant,oxidation temperature,reaction time,extraction time,ratio of extractant to oil,extraction times on the desulfurization were investigated.Under the optimal condition,the removal efficiency of sulfur compounds can amount to 94.2%and the recovery of product is above 90%.

521 Slurry Circulating Velocity in an External-Loop Slurry Reactor

Slurry circulating velocity,as a key hydromechanical parameter,play an important role in the liquid flowing and mass transfering between phases.Based on the effects of operating conditions and physical properties of the experiments on the slurry circulating velocity,an emperical momentum balance model was proposed to calculate the slurry circulating velocity.According to the principle of monentum conservation,a calculation model was created to forecast the local resistance coefficient of the gas-slurry separator on the top of the airlift external-loop slurry reactor.The experimental results were in good agreement with the modelling results.

527 Simulation of Climbing Film Evaporator for Urea Solution

The calculation method for climbing film evaporator was used to simulate the evaporators of first stage and second stage urea solution.The properties of solution system were built and the proper convective heat transfer coefficient calculation method was chosen,and then the simulation of the climbing film evaporator of the urea solution was achieved by using infinitesimal section method.The results of calculation agreed well with the data of actual device.This simulation could provide the theoretical foundation for assessment of equipment capacity,analysis of enlarging scale,and design of new equipment.

532 Technical Transformation of High-Purity Trichlorosilane Refining Process

In this paper,a technical transformation project of a(20 000 t/a) trichlorosilane production capacity plant was introduced in detail,and chemical process simulation software ASPEN was used to simulate and the simulation data were compared with the field data.The comparison results showed that: after the transformation,the boron content in the trichlorosilane and the exhaust emissions in the distillation system have a significant decline,both trichlorosilane purity and yield have an effective improvement.

535 Application of CS Type Feed Nozzle in FCC Unit

The application of CS type feed nozzle in FCC unit was introduced.The industrial results showed that after the application of CS type feed nozzle,the product distributing was improved with the same raw material,catalyst,operation condition.The operation cost was decreased.The yields of gas and petroleum coke were reduced 1.5% and 1.2%.The yields of LPG,gasoline and diesel oil were increased 1.3%,1.1% and 0.3% respeceively.The products were not affected by CS type feed nozzle.The integrated economy benefit was increased 61.26 million per year.

The progress in direct-contact heat transfer between immiscible liquids both in practice and theory was intruduced.A simplified calculation of each surface area was proposed for three kinds of heat transfer interfaces between bubble and continuous phase.Coefficient and several rational expressions of transient heat transfer coefficient were presented.At last,the engineering application of direct-contact heat transfer,especially in distillation was introduced.
