1 Study on The Methods of Recovering Shikonin Derivatives From Lithospermum Erythrorhizon Cell Cultures Medium

Cell suspension cultures of lithospermum erythrorhizon produce a large quantity of shikonin derivatives (red naphthoquinone pigments) and a part of them are se creted into the medium. Because of the large volume of liquid medium and the lowconcentration of product in it, pigments recovery from medium becomes one of thekey problems in industrializing this technology. In this paper,three isolation methods──extraction, precipitation and adsorption were used to recover pigments from medium.It resulted that in comparision with extraction, the tradrtional method, precipitation and adsorption simplified the downstream proccess,increased the recovery and accordingly the production cost was cut down greatly.

7 Measurement of Bubble Behaviour in a DownwardJet Loop Reactor Using CCD Photographic Method

The dynamic high-speed CCD photographic measurement system has been developed, which covered the techniques of high-speed vision analysis system and computer disposal system of digital images. The behaviour of bubbles in annular regions of the two-phase three-dimension downward-jet loop reactor has been measured under various geometrical characteristics and working conditions. The results show that it is a rapid method to measure precisely the bubble parameters and can also be a standard of other bubble measurement methods in which probes are placed in the reactor.

16 The Hydrodynamic Behavior of a Vibro-Fluidized Bed of Fine Particles
Zhao Jun
Particles of the group C in Geldart’s classification were fluidized fairly well by a type of vibro-fluidized bed. The influence of vibrational parameters such as the expansion of bed, the minimum fluidizing velecities on the fluidization behavior were investigated. An empirical correlation for caculating minimum fluidizing velocities is oresented.

22 Drying Process in a Top-spraying Fluidized Bed

The operation condition of drying process in top-spraying fluidized bed ,which is widely used for granulation and coating of particles , is studied. The results show that the bed can be taken as consisting of three sections in view of mass and heat transfer. The maximum spraying rate which has much influence on the production capacity is greatly affected by the flowrate and inlet temperature of the fluidizing air.

28 A New Process for Producing Sodium Pyrophosphate With Circulating Reaction of Melamine

Technological conditions of producing sodium pyrophosphate from wetprocess phosphoric acid with circulating reaction of melamine were investigated. Effecting factors for the process such as reaction temperture,rate of stirring,concentration of sodium hydroxide and reaction time were studied. Accordingly, the optimumtechnolgical conditions were established.

32 Synthesis of Methyl Salicylate Using Heteropoly Acid as a Catalyst

Methyl salicylate has been synthesized by esterification of salicylic acid with methanol using heteropoly [HSiW] as a catalyst. The effect of amount of the heteropoly acid ,reaction time and molar ratio of salicylic acid to methanol on the esterification has been studied. The experimental results show that :the amount of the catalyst is 1%,the reaction temperature is 68~70℃ ,reaction time is 2. 5h ,the yield of methyl salicylate is 94%. The catalyst is still stable after using for five times.The esterification method is of value in industrial production. Author to whom all correspondece shoould addressed.

35 Study on the Water-adulterating Process of Heavy Fuel Oil

The preparation and heating value determination of emulsified fuel oil as well as the constituents of composite emulsifier are discribed. The dependence of heat value on various factors is also discussed. The model EA-3 heavy (residual) oil emulsifier developed is simple in manufacturing process and ideal in saving energy and preventing environmental pollution. The experimental results show that it is an emulsifier of good guality for heavy and residual oil.

39 The Relative Retention Times of 132 Pesticides on Ultrabore Capillary Coulmns

The relative retention times of 132 pesticides have been determined by ultrabore capillary columns. The gas chromatographic conditions were as follows.Columns: fused silica, HP-1, 10m (or 5m )×0. 53mm×2. 65μm film(cross-linked methyl silicone);column temperatures : 160℃ or 220℃ ;carrier gas: H2, 25mL/min.

44 Measurement and Prediction of The Liquid Densities for The System of Ethanol-Ethyl Acetate at Various Temperatures and Pressures

The liquid densities of the ethanol-ethyl acetate system have been measured as a function of composition in temperature range of 288. 15K to 318. 15K and pressures from ambient to 19. 51MPa using an Anton Paar DMA55 density meter with a DMA512 external measuring cell for high pressures. The triplet random local composition model of mixture density was used to predict the densities at various temperatures and pressures.The results were in good agreement with the experimental data.

49 Manufacture of Active White Carbon Black Using Waste Acid in Potassium Nitrate Production

The process for obtaining potassium nitrate from potassium chloride and nitric acid produces much waste acid containing potassium salt. Waste acid is disposal the key problem to industrialize this process. In this paper, producing active white carbon black by using this waste acid has been studied. This new process can solve the problem of waste disposal and reduce the production cost of active white carbon black.

A relatively detail discussion of properties of conducting polymers and their synthesis methods such as chain and step polymerzation techniques in general, electrochemical synthesis and photochemical synthesis in particular are given.
