Modeling and Parameter Distributions in a Loop Reactor Employed for Propylene Polymerization
Cui Bo; Zhang Qingrui; Li Yaning; Cao Changqing; Zhu Zhaoyou
Fluid flow is analized and a mathematic model is developed on the basis of the performance data in a loop reactor system employed for bulk propylene polymerization. After the differential equations are solved by computer technique, the parameter profiles, such as solid content, component concentrations, temperature in the reactor, and the cooling water temperature, along the fluid flowing direction are obtained. Results show that the modeling is perfectly suitable to the reactor system performed in Plastics Complex ,Qi Lu Petrochemical Corp.

Experimental Study on Purification of Biological Products by Preparative High Performance Liquid Chromatography
He Zhimin; Han Zhenwei; Feng Yaoyu
Neutral proteinase from bacillus subtilis and the mixture of bovine serum albumin (BSA)with bovine hemoglobin(BHb)were used to study the characteristics of a self-made preparative high performance liquid chromatography under different operational conditions. It was shown that the separation and purification results with this apparatus could be satisfactory at appropriate conditions.

Porosity Distribution in Two-dimensional Fludized Bed with a Jet
Guo Qingjie; Zhang Jiyu; Luo Guohua
Porosity distribution was measured in a two-dimensional fluidized bed with a jet by PC-4 fiber optic probe. There was a region of maximum porosity at a level 2.5cm~7. 5cm above jet inlet. Expeiments proved that static height and nozzle diameter had some effects on porosity distribution. Based on voidage distribution, the penetration depth was defined and calcutated, and the results accorded with the penetration depth from the Yang's correlation.

Hydrodynamics of Vibrated Fluidized Bed of Mono-Component Particles (2)──Bed Expansion and Minimum Fluidization Velocity
Jin Haibo; Zhang Jiyu; Zhang Bijiang
Bed expansion and minimum fluidization velocity in vibrated fluidized bed were investigated. The effects of particle properties, vibrational parameters and static bed height on fluidized bed expansion and minimum fluidization velocity were presented. According to the experimental results of 13 kinds of particles in different vibrating conditions,an empirical correlation for predicting the ratio of minimum fluidization velocities under vibration and no-vibration conditions (Umv/Umf) ,which is useful for designing of the vibrated fluidied bed was proposed.

Porous Ceramic Separation Membrane
Huo Mingliang; Li Shiguang; Zhao Zongai; Yan Xiuru; Song Kuanxiu
Because of their advantageous properties in thermal, chemical and microbiological resistances and ease of cleaning, porous ceramic membranes have been increasingly used in separations. The manufacturing method of porous ceramic membrane, how to characterize it and its application prospect were discussed in this paper.

Membrane Separation for Sugarcane Bagasse Enzymatic Hydrolysis Process
Zheng Cheng
Direct heating explosion bagasse and the cellulase (Onozuk RS)bought from Yakult Co. Ltd.(Japan)were used in enzymatic hydrolysis and membrane separation experiments. The membrane materials and molecular weight cutoff were selected ;the separation characteristics were determined ,and the washing methods for membrane fouling were also tried. The experimental results indicated that polyether sulfone membrane of MW cutoff of 10 000 had 100% interception rate for the cellulose; the adsorption of the hydrolyszate had no appreciable effect on the flux through the membrane ; the enzyme recovery rate was only 56% through membrane separation in the experimental conditions; the PH of the hydrolyzate had no effect on the flux through the membrane i when the velocity of liquid wae smallen than 2 m/min, the velocity of liquid through the surface of membrane had no effect on the flux through the membrane; when the velocity was 2-4 m/min, the flux increased with the velocity of liquid; and when the velocity was more than 4 m/min,the velocity had no effect on the flux; the membrane being washed with 1% P3-ultrasil 56(bought from Henkel, Japan)can recover 90% of its flux in a washing time of half an hour.

A Modified Static Still Applied to Determine Isothermal VLE Data for Pressurized Systems
Qin Jinping; Li Zhibao; Shi Meiren
A static pressurized still was designed and applied to determine isothermal VLE data for pressurized systems (MO. 4MPa).This still is sample-saving and easy to operate.VLE data for the following binary systems were determined:①2-methyl-2-butene (1)-methanol (2);O② methanol (1)-TAME (2);③2-methyl-2-butene (1) TAME (2) ;④isopentane (1)-methanol (2);⑤isopentane (1)-TAME (2). Data of all binary systems passed the thermodynamic consistency check.

Study on a New Type of Amino-Acid Chelated Trace Fertilizer
Zhang Baolin;He Dachao;Hou Cuihong;Xu Xiucheng
Chelated trace fertilizer can increase the efficiency and utilization ratio of trace element fertilizer, while the selection and manufacture of a cheap and easyly available chelator of high chelate properties are the key to wide application of chelated trace fertilizer. The chelate properties of α-amino-acid mixture are demonstrated based on chelate theory. The condition and method of producing cheap chelator and chelated trace fertilizer using animal cutin protein-cockwool,duckwool and other industrial wastes as raw material were determined by experimental study. The agricultrual chemical experiments proved that amino-acid chelated trace fertilizer had good effect on the plant growth during the whole growth stage.

Study on Application of Structure Packing to Desulfurizing Columns
Zhang Minhua; Lu Huisheng; Lui Zongzhang; Li Haiping
The mechanisms of mass transter and reaction in the process of catalytic desulfurization using amonia water are described in this paper. The advantage of applying structure packing in the desulfurizing columns ,and the key points in revamping design are discussed. The results of this revamping showed that using structure packing colunm for desulfurizing in the ammonia synthesis plant is an improtant and effective measure to increase capacity,to improve feed gas quality and to reduce capital cost.

A New Process of Manufacturing Porous Ammonium Nitrate from Ammonium Nitrate
Peng Hui; Wang Jinfeng; Zhang Jiyu
An 100×50mm two-dimensional draft-tube spout-fluidized bed with special structural component was constructed for seeking optimum operating conditions and coating temperature in manufacturing porous ammonium nitrate from ammonium nitrate. Meanwhile, various experimental conditions of coating ammonium nitrate using different proportion of coating liquid were investigated. The final porous ammonium nitrate product obtained in this process exhibts a good quality─high oil adsorption coeffcient, high strength, low water content, free of lumping and high explosive force.
