343 Distribution of Settling Velocity in Microwave-Assisted Extraction Apparatus

A totally new microwave-assisted extraction apparatus was designed. In order to know whether it is fit for the demand of continuous production, LAD(Laser Doppler Anemometer)method is used to measure settling velocity of the fluid in the apparatus. The paper is focused on the settling velocity of different rotation degree θ . 2-Dimention figures are drawn by software Matlab to illustrate the data measured by Dual PDA. The conclusion is arrived that flow Q ≥160L/h is suitable for this apparatus.

349 Hydrodynamics of Spout-Fluidized Bed with Draft Tube

A 200×50×1 450mm two-dimentional spout-fluidized bed with a central draft tube was used to study the effect of geometry and operating parameters as well as physical properties of material on solids circulation rate. Four different solids and draft tube sizes were used in this study. With increasing gas feed rate,the gap between the draft tube inlet and conical distributor( R ), the draft tube area and the solid circulation rate will be increased. The draft tube hight and the solid partical loading has no effect on solids circulation rate.Two quantitative correlation,derived from the concept of the gravity flow of particals through the gap( R ) and consisting of geometry,operating,as well as material parameter,were proposed for predicting the solids circulation rate and the partical jet hight of this type of bed.

354 Determination the Interfacial Energy of Solid-Ligaid in Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride Monohydrate Solution

The solubility,metastable zone and induction period of ciprofloaxicn hydrochloride monohydrate in water or 23% (vol) water\|ethanol solution are measured by laser method.Based on the classic nucleation theory and the induction period theory,a general expression of the relationship between the interface energy and the relative supersolubility is established.Using this expression,the interface energy of ciprofloaxicn hydrochloride monohydrate in solution at various conditions are evaluated in order to supply important parameters for studying on the primary nucleation and crystal growth.

360 Effect of Bound Water on Freeze-Drying Process

In this paper,the effect of bound water on freeze-drying process is studied by analyzing the modeling results based on three different dehydration mechanisms for bound water.The freeze-drying of skim milk in vials is taken as the model sample for simulation.The contents of residual water,material temperatures,drying times and the distributions of water content are investigated.The predicted drying times and moisture profile are also validated by experiments.The results show that the effect of bound water on freeze-drying process is significant.The adsorptionof bound water can not be neglected during sublimation stage.This conclusion is very important for predicting accurately the drying times and the distribution of water content,describing the phenomenon of freeze-drying process and expounding the regular freeze-drying process.

366 Study on Synthesis of 1,5-Naphthalenedisulfonic Acid

Naphthalenedisulfonic acid has been synthesized by treating naphthalene with oleum in and not in the presence of organic solvent.The factors which can affect the reactions have been investigated also.The increasing concentration of oleum or the reaction temperature or the ratio of oleum to naphthalene results in the decreasing yield of 1,5-Naphthalenedisulfonic acid.The comparation of the two different methods shows that by using 30% oleum as sulfonation agent and 1,2-dichloroethane as organic solvent,the yield of 1,5-Naphthalenedisulfonic acid is 76.5%,which is much higher than using 20% oleum as sulfonating agent without organic solvent added.

369 Study on Solid Phase Enhancement Boiling Heat Transfer in Natural Circulation

The solid phase enhancement boiling heat transfer in natural circulation with the introduced solid particles is studied by experimental in a vertical shed and tube heat siphon reboiler.Influence of various solid particles,their diameter and concentration on the boiling heat transfer enhancement of the organic system is emphatically investigated.The experimental results show that the boiling heat transfer coefficient is more than 20% improved in contrast to the vapor\|liquid two\|phase at the same condition after the solid phase enhancement.

380 Clean Synthesis of Adipic Acid

The disadvantages in the main technology of producing adipic acid were reviewed in this paper. The biosynthesis method and the new process using hydrogen peroxide as oxidant were discussed, whose development and research were thought to be the direction of clean synthesizing the adipic acid.

390 The Experimental Study on Down Flow Cyclone Separator

A new type of high effective mist-gas separator,that is down flow cyclone separator,is developed.The pressure,separation efficiency and the picture of liquid film on wall are experimentally determined.The mist-removed effect is satisfied with the industrial demand.The operation condition of uniform liquid film on wall is found.
