Influence of the Different Preparation Conditions on the Photocatalytic Activity of TiO_2

The influence of different preparation conditions on the photocatalytic activity of TiO_2 is studied.The results show that the preparation methods affect the photocatalytic activity of TiO2,the temperature and time of heating are the primary factors which affect the photocatalytic activity of TiO_2.The photocatalytic activity of TiO_2 is better when the anatase phase and the rutile phase coexist in a certain proportion.

The Production of Dimethyl Carbonate by Ester Exchange Method

In the present paper the comparison of the properties of many homogene ous and heterogeneous catalysts for DMC synthesis by ester exchange method has been made.The vapor-liquid equilibrium property for the binary system of MeOH-DMC has been given. The separation methods of the azeotrope formed by the above binary system have been described,the technological process for the DMC production by the ester exchange method has been desig ned,and the mass flows and raw material consumptions of the designed pro cess have been tabled.

The author suggests a new and simple way to design the oscillating reaction by the method of decomposition and coupling, which involves its significance, experimental process and advantage over other methods.It is pointed out specially the mistake of isolation method in determining the concentration range of oscillation,as well as the changes of the rate additivity in the mathematial model of oscillating reaction.

The Synthesis of Maleic Anhydride/Styrene Sulfonic Acid Copolymer

The Synthesis of Red Base B by Phosgenation Process

The traditional process of the synthesis of Red Base B is the Nbenzenesulfonylation,nitration and hydrolysis of O-anisidine. We used the process of N-phosgenation, nitration and hydrolysis of O-anisidine.This process may reduce the total raw material cost over 15 600 per ton of Red Base B.

A Study of Exactitude in Diffusivity Measurements by Higbie′s Penetration Theory

A wetted column was used to measure the rate of absorption of carbon dioxide in aqueous polymer solutions.The experimental results showed that the exactitude in diffusivity calculation by Higbie′s penetration theory can be ensured when dimensionless contact time t<0.1.
