1 Heat Transfer of Gas-Liquid Two Phase Flow in Vertical Heated Tube

In vertical heated tube, the heat transfer of gas-liquid two phase flow is a lather complicated heat transfer process which includes various flow patterns i. e. one phase flow, bubble flow, slug flow churn flow, and annular flow. A pecial experimental equipment was used in this work. Water and its vapor were used in this system as working medium. The heat transfer for various flow patterns were discussed. The effects of mass flux, heat flux and vapor quality on heat transfer were studied. The form of film was investigated. J. C. Chen's additive mechanism model was used to calculate and analyse the performance of heat transfer under various conditions.

8 Study of Radiation-Induced Grafting of Acrylic Acid onto Polyethylene

A study has been made on the grafting of acrylic acid onto polyethylene film by the radiation-induced polymerization method. The results showed that the grafting proceeded successfully with the addition of inhibitor. The grafting was enhanced with the including of inorganic acid in the solution. The crystallinity and thickness of the trunk polymer was found to be important in affecting grafting. Further more, qualitative and quantitative IR analysis and morphology of the graft copolymer were showen.

14 A Comprehensive Study of Operating Performance of Packed Absorption Tower

A comprehensive experimental study on the fluid mechanics and mass transfer performances of absorption tower packed with φ16×16×2.0mm cerammic Rasching rings for water-air and water-ammonia-air systems. has been made. The experimental results showed that if there exists fouling in the packed bed, the pressure drop increases by 40~60%, under some gas velocities, and when the gas velocity is near the flooding point, the efficiency of mass transfer is optimun. The flooding velocity of the experimcntal values deviate from that of calculation within5%. Moreover, a suitable method for determining the time of steady mass transfer operation attained was suggested.

22 The Sol-Gel Process in Material Synthsis

The sol-gel process has become a widely spreading research field during the iast three decades. Most of materials such as glass, glass-ceramics, ceramics anti composites had been synthesised by using this method. In this paper, we will discuss about the history, basic principle, technology, application and prospect of the sol-gel process.
