Graft Copolymerization of Maleic Anhydride onto Ethylene—Propylene Rubber

Maleic anhydride was grafted onto ethylene-propyleue rubber.The re-sults showed that benzoyl perpoxide was superior to 2,2-azo-bis-isobuty-ronitrile as an initiator,and the effects of various reaction parameters inclu-ding reaction temperature,concentration of maleic anhydride aud benzoylperoxide,on the percentage of grafting were studied.The existene ofgrafted copolymer was verified by IR spectra and thin layer chromatography.The surface property of grafted copolymer was measured by contact angleagainst water.

Estimation of the Parameters in Equations without Analytic Solution

The method of unitination of optimization technique and numericalanalysis method can efficiently be used to estimate the parameters in equa-tions without analytic solution in chemical engineering.A complex examp-le which was composed of partial differential equation,differential equati-on and algebraic equation was used to discuss this method.The resultsshowed that this method could be used to obtain the needed model para-metets accurately and rapidly,and could be widly used in chemical enginee-ring.

A Study of Chain Transfer to Acetic Anhydride in the Polymerization of Tetrahydrofuran

In this paper,the polymerization of tetrahydrofuran with (CH_3COBF_4as catalyst in the presence of acetic anhydride and the kinetic machanismof polymerization and chian transfer were discussed in detail.It has beenfound that acetic anhydride has a great influence on the polymerizationrate constants The apparent rate constants of polymerization are 3.59,5.11 and 11.53×10~(-3)L/mol·s;the apparent rate constants of chain tran-sfer are 2.03,3.59 and 8.23×10~(-3)L/mol·s respectively

The Synthesis of Ethylene Glycol by Gaseous Catalytic Hydrogenation of Diethyl Oxalate

In this thesis,Catalytic hydrogenation of the diethyl oxalate to ethyle-ne glycol was studied.The catalysts of copper without chromium was stu-died.The effect of preparation condition of the catalysts on the reactionresult was experimented.We have found that the preferble Cu/SiO_2 weig-ht ratio of the catalyst was 0.67:1,and the preferable reduction temperatu-re was 350℃.Based on the catalysts,the most preferable reaction condit-ions were proposed.
