3 An Extensively Applicable Method for the Evaluation of Heat Transfer Parameters of a Fixed—Bed Reactor

The classical relationship of the heat transfer parameters between one—dimensional and two—dimensional models:1U=1h w +R4K er is found only valid when Bi <1 808,which is in disagreement with the normal Bi values of being 1 1 to 10. In considering of this, a new relationship consisting of U=λ 1 22RK er , λ 1 2=12(1-1 33A-0 33) and Bi=λ 1 24 exp (-aλ 1 2L)T 0-T w T(L,m)-T w -λ 1 2 is introduced, with its validity extended to Bi 10 53, which implies that this relation can practically be used without any limitation in the whole fixed—bed reactor operation domain. Simultaneously, the analytical method makes the estimation of K er irrelevant with the relationship between the two parameters,therefore the two parameters can be separately estimated. A numerical analysis has been made upon the famous heat transfer experiment by Coberly and Marshall(1951), and some suggestion is given on the basis of the inherent problem exposure.

9 Solid-Liquid Equilibrium for NaCl+2 Propanol (or 1,2 Propylene glycol、or Glycol)+Water Systems

The freezing point of the system of NaCl+2 Propanol(or 1,2 Propylene glycol、or Glycol)+Water at normal pressure have been determined with the freezing point apparatus. A linear relationship was found between the freezing point and the concentration of the salt at fixed relative composition of the solvents. A linear equation was derived by using thermodynamic theory and the existance of the linear relationship was analyzied with Gibbs phase rule. The effect of NaCl on the structure and property of the mixed solvent have also been discussed.

22 Mechanism of Microencapsulation of Ultramarine Particle and Surface Fractal Dimensionality

In this paper,microencapsulation mechanism of ultramarine particles in W/O emulsion was investigated.We made an approach to the relationship between surface fractal dimensionality(D) and surface shape of particles.The results show:In W/O emulsion, ultramarine particles get into aqueous beads of emulsion , forming “microreactor”. The reaction of microencapsulation takes place on the surface of particles in beads of W/O emulsion, which forms membrane of silicagel capsule,and the acid-resistance of ultramarine can be effectively improved. Shape of particle surface can be quantitatively characterized by surface fractal dimensionality.Value D may be used for explaining acid-reistance of ultramarine.

27 Study on Properties of Polyurethane/Furan Interpenetrating Polymer Networks

An interpenetrating polymer network (IPN) was prepared from polypropylene glycol polyurethane (PU) and furfuralcohol resin or HF9200A epoxy furan resin (FA).The kinetics of IPN formation and behavior of microphase separation were analysed by infra-red spectrum and scanning electron microscope. The mechanical properties with varied PU/FA ratio were also investigated. The experimental results showed that at a certain value of PU/FA, the synergism of IPN occured, accordingly the rigidity of polyurethane and the impact strength of furan resin were improved.

38 The Study on Fiber—Reinforced Epoxy Foam composites

In this paper, fiber-reinforced epoxy foam composites are investigated.The results show that both the tensile strength and bending strength of epoxy foam composites reinforced by fibers increase significantly and fiber-reinforced epoxy foam composites have lower density and higher strength as compared with those not reinforced

Temperature profile in single and multi filament CVD system and temperature distribution in the substrate surface were analysised based on a simplified model and the addition principle respectively.The temperature distribution of the deposition area obtained from them and the growth rate distribution obtained from the growth rate substrate temperature curve conformed to the exprimental results.

Through reactions of bis(β alboxy carbonyl alkyl)tin dichlorides with various carboxylic acids,a series of new organo tin carboxylates were prepared.Experimental parameters affecting the reaction were discussed.The new synthesized organo tin compounds have potential application for thermostabilizer in PVC resins.

54 Preparation and Identification of Hydrotalcite

Hydrotalcite is an ideal natural drug which showed high activities of antiulcer and antacid, It was made from aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide by a one step process in room temperature and atomospheric pressure. Synthetic hydrotalcite was identified by measurement of elemental analysis, IR Spectrum,differential thermal analysis and Powder X-ray diffraction.
