Pervaperation for Removing the Volatile Organic Compounds from Water

In this paper, the PDMS silicon rubber memberanes has been prepared.The pervaperation performance of the memeranes for removing benzene and chloroform from water is studided.Then we find that the separation perfermance is better than literature abroard.Lastly according to feed concentrations,feed temperatures and feed Reynold's numbers,we discuss the factors that affect the pervaperation performance of the memeranes.

Study on Purifying Wastewater Containing Heavy Metal Ion by Electrolytic Method

Treating wastewater containing copper ion(Ⅱ) and chromium ion(Ⅲ) by electrolytic method had been researched in this article.In the experiment,appropriate electrolytic reactor voltage had been determined according to solution property.The different electrode material had been experimented.Lastly the effects on the removal rate of heavy mental ions had been studied thoroughly under different conditions of the value of pH in wastewater,the time of electrolysis and the initial concentrations of solution.The optimum technological conditions of the experiment had been defined.

Influence of Magnetizing Treatment on the Refined Process of Citral

In the magnetic field that has different intensity of magnetization,the influence of magnetizing treatment on the refined process of citral was investigated.The results show that magnetic field has significantly influence on the refined process of citral and that when litsea cubeba was magnetizing treatmented the composition of citral increases by 2~5% and recovery ratio of citral increases by 2~4.5%.However,the magnetic effect is not in proportion with the intensity of magnetization,it has an optimum condition.The influence of magnetizing treatment on the separated process of heat-sensitive system was studied.The results are of value to the refined process of citral and the separated process of heat-sensitive system.

Development in Emulsifier-Free Emulsion Polymerization

In this paper,the mechanism(including the nucleation and growth of polymer particles)and kinetics of emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization was presented.The factors to influence the stability and the ways to improve the stability and solid content of emulsifier-free polymer emulsion were reviewed in detail.The ways include the introduction of initiator fragmentation,hydrophilic or surfactant comonomers,modification of reaction medium and selection of proper prosesses.Also the present status of application and foreground in the research field was outlined.

Dendrimers are mono-distributed and nano-scale macromolecules.Their unique core/shell structure,high concentration and high reactive of the end groups make them easily to be assembled or modified into various functionalized dendrimers,that can be used in the asymmetric catalytic reactions,selective cell recognition system gene therapy,molecular photo-switch and photo-harvesting system.Hence,They will become noticeable new materials in the twenty one centuries.

Immunomagetic bead(IMB)is a kind of new material which is developed from immunology and magnetic micro-carrier technology.Immunomagnetic separation is widely used in the field of cytology,immunology and molecular biology for its high efficiency,effectiveness,low toxicity and simple manipulation.This article briefly introduces the structure,property,current situation of the preparation of IMB,immunomagnetic separation's mechanism and characteristics.At the same time,some practical applications of IMB such as the separation and purification of cells,expansion in vitro ,immunosorbent assay,nucleic acid and genetic engineering,HLA typing and drug targeting are presented in detail.

This review covers the unusual characteristic including the thermo-physical properties,Hydrogen bonding,ionic product,diffuse coefficient and vlscosity et al of supercritical water(SCW)at high temperatures and pressures. Furthermore,the special properties of supercritical aqueous solution in dielectrlc constant,partial molar volume,solubility and polarity were presented.The applications of SCW in chemical reaction and waste disposal were also introduced.

Application of Ultrafiltration Membrane Techology in the Preparation of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Ultrafiltration as a typical membrane technology has important application value in the preparation of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). Brief introduction and comments is given centering on the following issues:the basic principles and feature, the application feasibility and illustration, the existing problems and future outlook. It points out ultrafiltration has considerable technology advantage in the separation and purification of the effective sites and effective components from TCM extract. The key to the efficient application of ultrafiltration in TCM preparation includes designing and manufacturing specific industry- scale membrane devices, formulating the quality control criteria for the membrane processes and products, finding the optimum insertion point of membrane technology in he whole production system.

Because of high boiling point,high feezing point and heat-sensitivity,the separation and purification process for producing pyrocatechol and hydroquinone is full of difficulty. Aiming at the problems of heat-sensitivity, large amount of outgrowth and production loss due to thermal decomposition and high energy cost during the separation and purification process,this paper dwells on some aspects of heat-sensitive materials. Also this paper put forward directions needing deep research.

Purification of IL-11 by Affinity Chromatograph
ZHAO Kai-li, GAN Yi-ru, LIU Bai-xiu
Interleukin-11 (IL-11) is a kind of muti-function protein. Usually,people apply the thioredoxin fusion system containing the gene IL-11 to express IL-11 fusion protein in the E.coli and apply the immobilized metal affinity chromatography to purify the expression. In this paper,we study the affinity chromatography technics of the IL-11. The results show that both the purity and the rate of recovery reach the better level. It lays foundation for the followed purification.
