Abstract In the magnetic field that has different intensity of magnetization, the influence of magnetizing treatment on the refined process of citral was investigated. The results show that magnetic field has significantly influence on the refined process of citral and that when litsea cubeba was magnetizing treatmented the composition of citral increases by 2~5% and recovery ratio of citral increases by 2~4.5%.However,the magnetic effect is not in proportion with the intensity of magnetization,it has an optimum condition. The influence of magnetizing treatment on the separated process of heat-sensitive system was studied. The results are of value to the refined process of citral and the separated process of heat-sensitive system.
