An Electrochemical Evaluation of Aluminum Alloys in Sea—Water
Xu Zuo—Qing Department of Technical Development, Jianjin Soda plant.
By applying potential-dynamic scanning method, the relationship between breakdown potential and Cl~- concentration of aluminum alloys has been studied. It suits Xin-Gang seawater, Hai-He water and mixture of seawater and river-water. An equation expressing the relationship has geen derived by regressive analysis, which is applicable to LF_(21) aluminum alloys with an error less than 3%. E_(br)=-123.66logCl~--169.39 (mv)

Research on Bromination of 4-Nitroaniline With Hydrobromic Acid and Hydrogen peroxide as Brominating Agent in Medium of Dilute Sulfuric Acid
Chen Zhi-Ji
Bromination of 4-nitroaniline with hydrobromic Acid and hydrogen peroxide as brominating agent in dilute sulfuric acid was studied. Solubility of 2-bromo -4-nitroaniline and its yields (Yp) under different conditions were determined, and its conversions (Yc) were calculated. Rate of the reaction was affected by temperature, concentration of sulfuric acid and amounts used of hydrobrornic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Optimum conditions of preparation of this compound were defined. 2.6-Dibrorno-4-nitroaniline wes successfully prepared by doubling the amount of hydrohromic acid in similar experiments.
