Investigation on the Rectification Charactericstics of Three Types of Ordered Packings under Ordinary and Low Pressure
Wang Shaoting, Li Xiyuan and Liu Yongcai
The performance of mass transfer and hydrodynamic characteristics of three types of rdered packings, i.e., copper gauze BX, ceramic BY and stainless steel Mellapak, and a random acking of Dg25 modified IMTP were tested in a distitlation column of 300 mm inside diameter. A imple pressure-drop formula for the three types of ordered packings has been obtained from bout 200 experimental data points. Extensive experimental investigation was Performed to llustrate the effects of vapor rate, pressure and reflux ratio on the performance of the ackings.

Separation of Butynediol from Aqueous Solution by CryStallization in a Continuous MSMPR Crystallizer
Zhang Youwen He Qinwei
This study deals with a method of separating butymediol from aqueous solution by rystallization in a continuous MSMPR crystallizer. It is shown that butynediol and water can orm stable supersaturated solution, and the crystallization yields are often low on account of he high solubility of the crystals. The study demonstrates that the temperature of rystallization and the concentration of feed hare considerable effects on butynediol rystallization. If appropriate satuation has nct been selected, the crystallization operation ay go wrong. Because of low crystal growth rate, a considerable residence time is necessary to btain better crystal yield.

Selection of Extractive Distillation Solvents for Benzene and Thiophene by Gas Chromatography
Gu Zhenggui, Zhao Weipeng, Zheng Yinge and Shi Jun
The gas flow system of Cx-105 gas chromatograph is improved. Infinite dilution ctivity oefficients (γ~∞) for benzene and thiophene in seven solvents are determined. Selectivities and issolubilities for the seven solvents and the mixed solvent of N-methyl-pyrrolidone and water re tudied.
