Effecfs of Liquid Viscosities, Surface Tensions and Pipe Diameter on Two Phase Flow Patterns in a Pool System

Gas-liquid two phase flow patterns have been investigated in vertical glass tubes with different diameters. The liquids used are with ifferent viscosities and surface tension. Air is injected into stagnant liquid through a distributor. The flow patterns were observed by a high speed video system and also by visual inspection. Their void fractions were measured. Tests showed that the two phase flow patterns of air-highly viscous liquids and air-foaming liquids are very different from that of air-water. Their Volumetric void fractions change within a wide range.

Effects of Calcination Paramaters on the Mechanical Strength of Fe-based WGSR Catalyst
Li Yongdan Wang Daxiang Zhang Liu
Taking the advantage of Dn-saturation optimum experiment, factors influencing mechanical strength of Fe-based WGSR (water gas shift reaction) catalyst during calcination process have been researched. A second order relationship between mechanical strength and calcination operation parameters has been set up. Results show that those parameters such as temperature, water content, heating rate and calcination time have strong effects on average strength and its reliability of the catalysts. The experimental results have been discussed.

The Measurement of Solid-Liquid Equilibrium For Dichlorobenzene Isomers and 1, 2, 4-trichlorobenzene Systems

The solid-liquid equilibrium data for five binary systems: o-dichlo robenzene/m-dichlorobenzene; m-dichlorobenzene/p-dichlorobenzene; 1, 2, 4-trichlorobenzene/odichlorobenzene; 1, 2, 4-trichlorobenzene/m-dichlorobenzene; 1, 2, 4-trichlorobenzene/p-dichlorobeneezen had been determined by differential scanning c-alorimetry and had been correlatad by the equation : T=T_m~*[1+sum from j=1 to n a_j(x_1-x_1~*)~j] Where T_m~*——melting point of component x_1~*——equilibrium mole fraction of component 1 at temp. T_x~* a_j—adjustable parameter Through determing the solid—liguid equilibrium of pseudo binary system from dichlorobenzene isomers and 1, 2, 4-trichlorobenzene, the solidliquid equilibrium temperature-composition relations for following ternary systems had been determined: o-dichlorobenzene/m-dichloroenzene/p-dichlorobenzene; o-dichlorobenzene/p-dichorobenzene/1, 2, 4-trichlorobenzene, and o-dichlorobenzene/m-dichlorobenzene/1, 2, 4-trichlorobenzene.
