1 Study on the Photochemical Properties of Chain Linked Bis(Phenyloxadiazoly)ethenes

n bis[trans 4 [2 [2 (5 pheny1 1,3,4 oxadiazoly)]etheny1]phenoxy]alkanes ( n =3,4,6),2,2′ bis[trans 4 [2 [2 (5 pheny1-1,3,4 oxadiazoly)]etheny1] phenoxy]ethy1 ether (D) and their model compound trans 4 [2 [2 (5 pheny1-1,3,4 oxadiazoly)]etheny1]anisole (E) were synthesized. Their structures were identified by elemental analysis, IR, UV, 1H NMR, 13 C NMR and MS. UV spectra were used to illustrate their photochemical properties under the irradiation of high pressure mercury lamp. It was found that A D undergo two kinds of reactions, the trans cis isomerization and (2+2) intramolecular photodimerization. The former is fast and reversible, but the later is slow and irreversible. The intramolecular photodimers of A D can photolysis easily under the irradiation of low pressure mercury lamp. Furthermore, The reversible reaction between the intramolecular photodimerization of A D and the photolysis of the formed dimers can undergo many times with high reproducibility which indicates that these sort of compounds have potential utilization in the field of photo info memory.

8 Study on the Modification of Bentonite with Silica-alumina Gel

The effect of the modification with silica alumina gel on the adsorption of heavy metal and sinking property for bentonite and the adsorption of organic poison for CTMBA bentonite were investigated in this work. The modified bentonites were analyzed with XRD and IR. The results indicated that the modification, which happened on the edges of bentonites, enhanced their adsorption of cobalt and the sinking ability. The gel improved the adsorption selectivity when the CTMBA bentonites were used to adsorb organic compounds in water.

13 Investigation on Purification of Dimethyl Terephthalate Using Falling Film Crystallization

Dimethyl terephthalate(DMT)is the main raw material for producing polyester fiber.Because its purification process is long,so the cost is very high.In this paper,the falling film crystallization is used to separate and purify DMT.The product of high purity is obtained.The influence of various operating conditions on the crystallization rate and product purity have been investigated.The optimum operating condition is given.

20 A New Approach for Predicting Density of Electrolyte Solution

A new generalized model was proposed for predicting density of electrolyte solutions by using the principle of corresponding state.Taking CaCl\-2 solution as reference fluid,the quantitative relation between apparent molar volume of water and osmotic pressure of the solution was obtained.With this universal relation for all the electrolyte solution and the known ionic radill,densities of single or mixed electrolyte solutions in the whole concentration range and in the temperature range of 271\^15K~373\^15K can be predicted.The validity of the proposed model was investigated for 30 binary electrolyte solutions at 298\^15K,and for 11 single electrolyte solutions in the temperature range of 273\^15K~373\^15K.Using the optimized ionic radius being independent of temperature and concentration the AADs were found to be within 1%.This method is simple for use and the prediction accuracy is within the demand for industry design.

29 The Research of Dispersion in Synthesis of Powders for Phosphate Ceramic of BZP Family from Liquid

The single phase BZP powder was synthesized by coprecipitate method. The size distribution and the sinter characteristic of the powders abtained by two different dispersion methods were investigated.The results show that a narrow size distribution can be abtained by dispersing of small molecular organic solvent,and the average particle size of powder is 1.6 μm~1.8 μm. In addition,agglomeration can be prevented by controlling pH=7~11 during liquid synthesis.

34 Synthesis of Triethylenediamine from β-Hydroxyethyl Piperazine

The reaction of intromolecular dehydration of crude hydroxyethyl\|piperzine to synthesis triethylenediamine was studied in this paper. A series of catalysts were chosen,prepared and examined. Reaction parameters including influencing temperature,space velocity,and concentration were optimize. Thus,when SrHOP\-4 containing Ba 2+ was empolyed as catalyst,the concentration of crude hydroxyethyl\|piperazine was 60%,the space velocity of raw material gas was 2 000 h -1 and under 360℃,the conversation of the material reached up to 100% and the selectivity of triethylenediamine is above 90%. After distillation and recrystallization of the obtained reaction mixture the purity was over 99%.

40 Cyclization of β-Hydroxyethylenediamine to Piperazine

The cyclization of β\|hydroxyethylenediamine in the presence of catalytic hydrogenation was investigated in the present paper.Several Cu\|Containing catalysts were prepared and examined for this cyclization.Toluene was employed as solvent to increase the reaction selectivity.The other parameters were optimized.Thus,in the presence of Cu/γ\|Al\-2O\-3 and Hydrogen(3.0MPa),β\|hydroxyethylenediamine in toluene,180℃~190℃,was found to undergo effective cyclization to afford piperazine in 85% yield.

44 Advances in the Antithrombogenicity of Intravascular Polyurethane Catheters

This article briefly reviewed the blood coagulation procedure of intravascular polyurethane catheters,factors influencing it including stiffness,surface charge,lubricity,hydrophilic hydrophobic balance,and micro separated phase structure of PU.Otherwise this paper discussed emphatically some traditional and recent attempts to improve the antithrombogenicity of polyurethane,such as heparin immobilization,increasing the surface hydrophilicity,protein conditioning,heparinoid modification, and attachment of other biological actives.

57 Kinetics of Enzymatic Reactions in Reverse Micelles

The kinetics of enzymatic reactions in reverse micelles was classified as three types: the pseudophasic model, the micellar dynamic model and the substrate adsorption model. The development of each type was briefly reviewed and the directions for further study were discussed.
