Abstract The calculating results show that the effectiveness factors of high-temperature water gas shift (WGS) reaction catalysts may increase evidently, and the amount of catalyst used may decreased to 60%~70% under present production condition, if it is adopted that the active components of catalystis distributed on its surface. So to change the activity distribution of high-temperature shift reaction catalyst is a effective way to increase its utility.
