Abstract The molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of styrene modified alkyd were obtained by GPC.The performance parameters of the styrene modified alkyd and its varnish were determined.The effects of the molecular weight on the resin and the effects of the molecular weight and molecular weight distribution of the resin were discussed.
