Abstract The performance of hydrodynamics and mass transfer of United Ring (UR) for gasliquid system were studied experimentally and the correlation for pressure drop was made.It is shown from the resuls that the United Ring has distinguished advantages such as large capacity,low pressure drop and high mass transfer efficiency etc.It is hopeful of replacement of the traditional packings such as Pall Ring,Intalox etc.
