Abstract The general method modifying hydrophobic polysulfone to produce highly hydrophilic surfaces was developed. This method is the blend technique. We used scanning electronic microscopy to examine the phase behavior of A-B diblock copolymer of poly(ortho esters)-b-poly(ethylene glycol). Because PEG has high surface energies in copolymer, PSF membranes were modified and improved the surface hydrophilicity and hemocompatibility.
