Abstract The influence of structural parameters of corrugated plate packing on performance of axial mixing in liquid phase was investigated in 300mm ID packing tower with air-H2O-KCl system.The results shown that the axial backmixing parameter Pe increases with increasing the drilling rate  and the inclination angle β and with decreasing the unit height of the packing H. The results are of value to development and design of corrugated plate packing.
