Abstract On the base of polyacrylamide with high molecular weight, the water-soluble PAM microgels was prepared. The crosslinked structure of the microgels is composed of σ bands, which makes little changes of the viscosity in the conditions of high temperature and salinity. At 45℃,the recovery of 15‰ microgels obtained 25% in brines. The PAM microgels is found to have special property in EOR by the research on it.
