Abstract In this paper,the synthesis of dichloro (phthalocyanino) silicon is studied. Dichloro (phthalocyanino) silicon is obtained by adding the product into methanol. Dichloro (phthalocyanino) silicon is converted to silicon phthalocyanine dihydroxide by adding the dichloro (phthalocyanino) -sulfuric acid solution into cold water, the total product yield is 77%. Compared with the traditional alcoholysis, this route can enormously improve the reaction yield, and their structures are confirmed by IR.
