Abstract In this experiment, titanium dioxide is used as photocatalyst to proceed formaldehyde photocatalytic degradation reaction. Influences of the calcination temperature and time on the reaction are studied. And the kinetics of the degradation reaction is simulated with zero- and first-order kinetic models. The result shows that formaldehyde photocatalytic degradation reaction obeys the rule of first-order kinetic reaction.
