Abstract This paper reviews the recent research and application of the support material for the immobilization of penicillin acylase(PA).Attention is concentrated on the structure and PA immobilized on four kinds of materials:polymers with oxirane groups and functional polymers,ion layer material and mesoporous molecular sieves as well as delaminated zeolitic material.The direction and trend on the support material of immobilizing enzyme in recent years are also reviewed.
