Abstract Dibiphenol A pentaerythritol diphosphite was synthesized by using pentaerythritol, phosphorus trichloride and bisphenol A as raw material. The effects of reaction solvent, reaction time and molar ratio of the raw material on yields were analyzed. The experimental results show that the optimum conditions were as follows:molar ratio of pentaerythritol to phosphorus trichloride to bisphenol A was 1.02.82.0,the first and the second reaction held for about 3 h on the conditions of refluxing. The product, under this conditions, was a white flour solid and the melting point was 146 桪148 ,the yield of the product was about 93%.Elemental analysis,IR,and(()~1HNMR) were performed to characterize the structure of the product.
