Abstract The flow behavior,axial liquid mixing and inter-phase mass transfer in bubble column reactor were reviewed.The measurement methods of gas holdup,liquid velocity,axial liquid dispersion coefficient and volumetric mass transfer coefficient were introduced.And the difference among different methods was introduced.Effects of system pressure,temperature,superficial gas velocity,liquid properties and solid holdup on the flow behavior,axial liquid mixing and mass transfer in bubble column reactor were discussed.
