Abstract Solubility is the key data for crystallization research and it contributes to investigating optimum condition and determining the theory yield.With a laser monitoring observation technique,the solubility of phenyl peri acid in binary ethanol-water mixtures in the temperature from(278 K) to(308 K) and in the solvent composition from 0.86 to 0.28 were measured by a synthetic method.The effect of solvent composition and temperature on the solubility was discussed.
