Abstract Mesoporous molecular sieves Nb-SBA-15 were synthesized by direct synthesis, and characterized by XRD, BET, FTIR and DTA The results show that Nb-SBA-15 still retains a high ordered mesoporous structure of SBA-15. Using H2O2 as oxidant and acetone as solvent, catalytic oxidation of styrene to benzaldehyde were carried out over Nb-SBA-15, and the optimum conditions were obtained. When the reaction temperature is 70 ℃, the reaction time is 10 h, the amount of catalyst is 10.0% of the raw material, n(styrene)∶n(hydrogen peroxide)∶n(acetone)=1∶2∶2, the conversion of styrene is up to 43.21%, and the selectivity of benzaldehyde is up to 94.32%.
