Abstract Polyaniline (PANI) thin film at graphite electrode was prepared by drying PANI NMP solution under vacuum condition. The modified electrode obtained was characterization by cyclic voltammetric(CV)and potentiostatic method in 1.0 M H2SO4 solution. The degradation process of PANI was found to be greatly dependent on the applied potential and the experimental temperature. When the applied potentials are lower than 0.60 V vs SCE, the degradation of PANI follows a linear process, while the applied potentials are higher than 0.60 V vs SCE, the degradation of PANI follows exponential decay nonlinear process. Much the same as above, an increase of testing temperature can also make the PANI degradation to follow exponential decay relation from first order to third order successively.
