1 The Spray Shaping of Catalyst for the Oxidation of n-Butane to Maleic Anhydride in Fluidized-bed

The study on shape out catalytic particle for the oxidation of n-butane to maleic anhydride in fluidized-bed was carri(?)d out. Among various types of adhesive and under different spraying conditions, the catalysts with different particle size and size distributions for fluidized-bed were obtained The effects of spraying conditions on catalytic reaction activity, and thereof the change reqularity were studied by using the method of orthogonal experimental design At the same time the optimum procedure of spray shaping was decided. It was found that when the particle size of catalyst is in the range of 20-200μm and the mean particle diameter is about 70—80μm, best result of catalytic oxidation of n-butane in fluid-bed was obtained.

7 A Model for the Off-line Optimization of Operation Parameters for the Extractive Distillation Process of Butadiene

A new model of the optimum conditions for the extractive distillation column of butadiene by using DMF as solvent has been proposed in this paper. The optimum decision variables (solvent/C_4, recycle gas/C_4, Reflux ratio, distillates) have been obtained by flexible tolerance algorithm under 27 different burdens of three key components in the feed C_4。 The three-dimensional Lagrange interpolation polynomials have been respectively correlated with each. optimum operation parameters. The softwares of optimum operation conditions for arbitrary proportions of three key components in the feed C_4 have been provided for production Comparing with the primary producing conditions the results calculated using optimal model can save energy consumption about 5~14 percent.

The present status of research and results in correlation about the performance of packed bed are presented. With respect to mass transfer, not only important results are included but also the probable cause of wide deviation in correlations by different authors is discussed in some detail
