Abstract A new model of the optimum conditions for the extractive distillation column of butadiene by using DMF as solvent has been proposed in this paper. The optimum decision variables (solvent/C_4, recycle gas/C_4, Reflux ratio, distillates) have been obtained by flexible tolerance algorithm under 27 different burdens of three key components in the feed C_4 The three-dimensional Lagrange interpolation polynomials have been respectively correlated with each. optimum operation parameters. The softwares of optimum operation conditions for arbitrary proportions of three key components in the feed C_4 have been provided for production Comparing with the primary producing conditions the results calculated using optimal model can save energy consumption about 514 percent.
