Abstract The emulsion blending modification of ABS graft latices with α-MS-AN (α-methylstyrene-acrylonitrile) Copolymers were studied. A formalation for heat resistant ABS resin with good comprehensive properties was established. The compatability of two compounds and microstructaral morphology of the products were demonstrated by the DSC, PGC and TEM. Experimental results show that blending with α-MS-AN copolymer can improve the heat resistance and rigidity of the ABS resin bring down its production cost and expand its application fields,Additionally, the influences of latex particle size and rubbe contents in the ABS graft latex on tae properties of the products had alsor been investigated. |
