Abstract The distributions of gas\|holdup along the radial position is studied by dual\|needle electrical conductivity method for pentane\|water system in a gas\|liquid\|liquid three\|phase direct\|contact exchanger. And a correlation,which is reasonable agreement with experimental values,is obtained.
