Abstract The preparation of EVA-type low temperature flow improver for diesel fuel was studied.The factors of the polymerization were investigated,such as the pressure,the temperature,the initiator concentration and the vinyl acetate concentration,in order to obtain the principles of adjusting the viscosity,the vinyl acetate content and decreasing degree of the cold filter plugging point for the product.Additionally the mechanism of the synthesized low temperature flow improver was explored preliminarily using XRD and DSC.
