Abstract In this paper,NiFe_2O_4 nanocrystalline particulates were prepared by stearic acid gel method.The products were characterized by TG-DTA,XRD and TEM and were compared with those fabricated by co-precipitation.The results showed that NiFe_2O_4 nanocrystalline prepared by stearic acid gel method had average distributed uniformity and small grain size without aggregation.
