Abstract Three systems are studied in this work: kerosene-water, kelosene-26.1% glycerol aqueous solution and 2-ethyl-hexanol-water.The diameter of the pocked column used is 75mm. Under the condition of on mass transfer, the dispersed-phase holdup and pressure drep are investigated with three different types of packings intalox saddles, rasching ring and lessing ring. Based on the experimental data, the correlations for predicting dis-persed-phase holdup and pressure drop in the state of floodling have been obtained by linear regression. |
