Abstract Using SPAN as the emulsifier, inverse emulsion copolymerization of acrylamide—acrylate (sodium, potassium and ammonium salt) was investigated. Some factors which affect the intrinsic viscosity [η] of copolymers have been studied. These factors iaclude the purifying method of acrylamide, total comonomer concentration, initiator varieties and so on.
A method of azeotropie distillation in vacuum was examined for concentrating the latexes obtained. After concentration, the polymed content in the latexes reached 47%. |
