Abstract On the base of the syntheis of pigment yellow 81(C.I.P.Y.81)the pigment was treated on the surface using various surfactnats.The effects of structure and addition quantity of non-ionic and anionic surfactant on properties of C.I.P.Y.81(Benzidine Yellow 10G) were studied.The results showed that shade,transparency,flowability and color strength of C.I.P.Y.81,were obviously improved by adding 3%～5% of non-ionic and anionic surfactant,such as OP-7,OS-15 and sulfonated castor oil.The suitable condition was presented.
