Abstract This paper reviewed the research and development of bone cement.It mostly focused on the first generation bone cement poly(methyl methacrylate)(PMMA) which has the same mechanical qualities as bone,mostly is inertia material and the second generation bone cement hydroxyapatite(HA) which can be absorbed and biodecomposed.We focused on the development of the composite of HA and biodecomposed materials and prospected the application of bone cement.����
