Abstract Cefoperazone sodium is an antibiotic of the third cephalosporin,and of an important status.The needle-like crystal of CPZ can be gained by solvent out crystallization.In this paper,the primary nucleation induction period of this kind crystallization method was studied.Firstly,the solubility of CPZ in different temperature and acetone concentration were measured.Then,according to the solubility,the induction periods were measured in different S,and the effect of acetone concentration on the induction period was discussed.In addition,the induction period in the presence of ultrasonic was determined and experimental evidences showed that ultrasonic can has it reduced.
