Abstract 2,6-Dichlorobenzonitrile was synthesized from 2,6-dichloroaniline by diazo reaction.Effects of reaction temperature,ratio of H_2SO_4 to CH_3COOH and pH value on the yield and purity of product were studied.The highest yield of 2,6-dichlorobenzonitrile was obtained under the conditions that n(H_2SO_4)∶n(CH_3COOH)=34∶1~1∶1,reaction temperature was 50℃ and the pH was between 7~9.After processed,the quality of cyanide waste-water was up to the emission standard.
