Abstract The properties of density, conductivity and content of solid articles of water extractives and alcohol extractives of Gengnian'an are obtained experimentally.The relationships between the properties and the variation tendencies with temperature are investigated.The possibility of on-line quality control by using these relationships in the concentration of extracts of Gengnian'an is analyzed.
