Abstract Cyclohexane oxidation to produce cyclohexanol/cyclohexanone(the mixture is so called KA oil) is an important reaction in industry.Owing to its low conversion and selectivity,low efficiency,much research has been drawn on it.This paper reviews many developments in cyclohexane oxidation with pure/rich oxygen,biomimetic oxidation,Gif chemistry,multiphase catalytic oxidation,photo catalytic oxidation and oxidation in supercritical fluids etc,and proposes the green process will be the main development in fields of cyclohexane oxidation with pure/rich oxygen in recent years.
