Abstract The unsupported and supported NiCoB bimetal amorphous alloy catalysts were prepared by metal inducing electroless plating(MIEP) method.XRD,ICP and TEM techniques were used to characterize their structure,composition and morphology.Hydrogenation of sulfolene was selected as the probe reaction to investigate their catalytic performance.The results showed that NiCoB bimetal catalysts had better catalytic activity and faster initial velocity of hydrogenation,compared to industrial Raney-Ni catalysts and NiB catalysts.
