Abstract Immobilization and desulfurating performance of desulfurated bacteria H-412 were discussed with alginate,polyvinylalcohol and SiO_2 as carrier,and the optimal condition of preparing immobilized bacteria from immobilization desulfurization bacteria was obtained.Experiment result showed the intension of immobilized spherule was improved when suitable amounts of polyvinylalcohol and SiO_2 were added.The desulfurating performance of immobilized bacteria was better than free bacteria in oil desulfurization with high O/W.When mass ratio of oil to water was up to 2/3,the degradation rate of immobilized bacteria still remained above 60%.
